All four Block Control Rooms (БЩУ) branch off the +10-meter deaerator corridor (the “Gold Corridor”) to the south. Above the corridor are the deaerators themselves, as well as the main steam and feedwater lines (it is hard to imagine whatever compelled this design decision); and to the north of the corridor are the reactor and ventilation buildings.
