The deaerator building corridor at +10 meters elevation is clad in gold-colored metal. Although all RMBK plants are built in a very similar layout, they have distinct decorative features such as the floor tile and the wall covering. Chernobyl’s deaerator corridor is known locally as the “Gold Corridor” in reference to the wall paneling along most of its length.
