Scintillator count at 10 km
The scintillation detector records 4000 cpm where I am standing in this photo, 10 km north of Ground Zero. This value can be considered a normal background reference for the area, to which other values shown or discussed later can be compared.
Dear Carl, on this page (10km to north from Ground Zero) you measured 4000 cpm. How many it was in mR/h?
Or what sensitivity was of your Detector SAINT-GOBAIN 12M3/1.12L ??
And it was 50 years after last test in Ground Zero!! Thank you for excellent your Semipalatinsk photos.
Valentin,
