HPCI pump

The high-pressure coolant injection (HPCI) turbine and pump, Reactor 2. The large steam line at top left is the Terry turbine’s exhaust to the suppression pool (the torus). The HPCI system is part of the reactor’s ECCS package, responsible for keeping the fuel covered with water in the event of an accident.
